Kingsgrove Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Full-Time Veterinary Nurse to work across all areas of the clinic, utilizing the full scope of nursing skills. Key responsibilities include surgical and anaesthetic nursing, patient care, diagnostics, and client education.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent).
• 3+ years of clinical experience in small animal practice.
• Confident in surgical monitoring, pathology sample collection, and nursing care.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to both patients and clients.

Responsibilities

• Surgical & Anaesthetic Nursing: assisting in surgery, monitoring anaesthetics, patient prep and recovery.
• Consultations & Patient Care: nurse consultations, triaging, administering medications, hospitalised patient care.
• Diagnostics: running in-house diagnostic tests, collecting samples, radiograph positioning.
• Client Relations & Education: post-operative discharge instructions, preventive healthcare advice, compassionate client communication.
• Hospital Operations: assisting with patient records, maintaining equipment standards, contributing to smooth daily workflows.

Work-Life Balance: Clinic hours are 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM Monday–Friday and 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM Saturdays. Strictly closed Sundays and Public Holidays.
