Job summary

The Animal Referral Hospital in Canberra is seeking passionate veterinary nurses who can work independently with a reliable, adaptable and proactive approach. The team is committed to exceptional care in a state-of-the-art clinic and a nurturing environment.

We offer full-time, part-time and casual positions with flexible arrangements. You will work with a variety of cases, assist with diagnostics, anaesthesia, and recovery, and contribute to high-quality patient care across hospital stays.

Qualifications

• Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent.
• Minimum 2+ years of clinical experience.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Reliable, positive and proactive approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre and post compassionate care to hospitalised cases.
• Support vets with routine examinations, diagnostics and procedures.
• Manage admission and discharge of surgical and hospital cases.
• Provide surgical and hospital nursing including monitoring anaesthetics.
• Conduct blood collection and testing, IV catheter placement.
• Prepare and administer medications.
• Maintain cleanliness of surgical and treatment areas.
• General day-to-day nursing duties.
