Job summary

ARH Canberra is seeking a passionate Hospital Veterinary Nurse to join our team. We offer full-time, part-time or casual roles with flexible arrangements to suit your availability.

You will provide pre- and post-operative care, assist vets with diagnostics, monitor anaesthesia and support recovery across a diverse caseload in a state-of-the-art facility in Canberra. • Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent.
• Minimum 2+ years of clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre and post compassionate care to hospitalised cases.
• Support our vets with routine examinations, diagnostics and procedures.
• Manage the admission and discharge of surgical and hospital cases.
• Provide surgical and hospital nursing including monitoring anaesthetics.
• Conduct blood collection and testing, IV catheter placement.
• Prepare and administer medications as required.
• Maintain cleanliness of surgical and treatment areas.
• General day to day nursing duties.
