Job summary

Department of Education Victoria invites applications for a Vocational Education and Training (VET) Cluster Coordinator based in the Ovens Murray Area. You will work with schools, training providers and other education stakeholders to embed the VET Cluster framework as the department's local planning and service delivery model.

The role requires strategic planning, strong stakeholder relationships and capability building, with travel across the region.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to model behaviours and attitudes consistent with Department values and support colleagues to adopt these behaviours and attitudes.
• Demonstrated expertise in secondary school VET, including understanding of DE, VCAA, VRQA and ASQA policies.
• Demonstrated experience coordinating the delivery of VET across schools and training providers.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders in vocational education.
• Demonstrated effective oral and written communication with various stakeholders and preparing program reports.
• Ability to translate policies and locally defined strategies into programs or projects that achieve cluster outcomes.
• Ability to identify objectives linking strategies to actions and measure progress.
• Demonstrated adaptability and collaborative approach to change with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Deliver critical management functions to support the VET Cluster framework implementation.
• Coordinate cluster governance and operations groups.
• Lead planning and development of new programs and services to increase opportunities for young people in the cluster.
• Monitor cluster performance, conduct self-audits and design improvements.
• Support school-based VET Coordinators and build their capabilities through professional development.
• Engage in transport planning and liaise with providers to meet cluster transport needs.
• Develop, maintain and disseminate cluster documentation and reporting for contracts and partnerships.
