Job summary

Trinity Marine in the Whitsundays is seeking a practical Vessel Technician to maintain and support our fleet of sailing yachts and catamarans (35-53ft). You’ll work across electrical, plumbing, rigging and deck systems to keep boats safe and ready for guest departures.

We value hands-on technicians with strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a small team in a busy, waterfront environment.

Trinity Marine is seeking a practical, hands-on Vessel Technician to help maintain and support our fleet of sailing yachts and catamarans operating in the stunning Whitsunday Islands.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working across a wide variety of vessel systems and takes pride in keeping boats operating safely and reliably. Whether you're a qualified marine mechanic, an experienced technician, or a passionate boatie with strong mechanical aptitude, we'd love to hear from you.

We're particularly interested in people with experience working on yachts, catamarans, cruising vessels or commercial vessels in the 35-53ft range.

About Us

Trinity Marine operates Whitsunday Rent A Yacht and Sunsail Whitsundays, providing skipper-yourself bareboat holidays aboard our fleet of modern sailing yachts and catamarans.

Based at our private waterfront facility in Shute Harbour, just minutes from Airlie Beach, we help thousands of guests experience the Whitsundays each year.

The Role

Working as part of our technical team, you'll be involved in the maintenance, repair and preparation of our fleet, including:

• Electrical and electronic systems
• Plumbing and water systems
• Rigging and deck hardware
• Troubleshooting and fault finding
• Preventative maintenance and vessel servicing
• Preparing vessels to a high standard for guest departures

No two days are quite the same, making this an ideal role for someone who enjoys variety and practical problem-solving.
