Job summary

Whitsunday Jet Ski Tours, part of Sea Link Whitsundays under the Kelsian Group, is seeking a Vessel Master for Hayman Island. Lead daily watersports tours, ensure guest experiences are exceptional, manage crew and maintain safety standards on island-based operations.

The role requires a minimum of two years as Vessel Master in tourism, appropriate COE and safety certifications, and a commitment of at least 12 months on site. Training across the fleet will be provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Vessel Master in Tourism.
• Master < 24m Certificate of Competency required.
• MED 3 or higher must be held.
• Senior First Aid, CPR and O2 certification are required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operation of vessel tours with a focus on guest experience and safety.
• Manage crew while ensuring compliance with Safety Management System onboard.
• Ensure adherence to local laws, policies and resort standards.

Multi-award-winningWHITSUNDAY JETSKI TOURS is looking for an amazing addition to our water sports team base on the beautiful Hayman Island.

WJT currently manages the powered watersports activities for Hayman Island including but not limited to

• Outer Reef Snorkel Tours
• Jetski Tours

We are currently seeking an experienced vessel master to complement our existing totally awesome team (just ask us) on island to cover our seven-day operation. Our focus is to deliver exceptional guest experiences to Hayman Islands in house guests, each and every time in alignment with the Islands expectations.

This role will be island based and will be required to align with the expectations of the standards of the resort.

About the Role

The Master will be responsible for the daily efficient operation of the various vessel tours whilst maintaining excellence in guest experience, safety, crew management and reliability at all times.

The Master must ensure the vessel maintains compliance with all relevant local and governing laws and company policies and is responsible for the implementation and verification of the Safety Management System onboard.

As the position will form part of the watersports team, which includes our Jet Skis, there will be a requirement to be trained across the fleet.

• A PWC license

We are looking for a minimum 12-month commitment, so this position is not suitable for those looking only for their 88 days or a short-term role.
