Job summary

Lockheed Martin Australia is seeking a Senior V&V Engineer to join the AIR6500 program in Canberra. You will lead verification activities across complex, integrated systems in a modern engineering environment, ensuring performance, quality, and mission readiness.

The role requires a degree in Engineering, extensive V&V and Systems Engineering experience, MBSE tools proficiency, Agile practices, and the ability to work with stakeholders while maintaining Australian citizenship eligibility and

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent relevant experience.
• Significant experience in V&V, Systems Engineering, Integration or Test & Evaluation.
• Experience with system-level verification strategies and plans.
• Experience in complex, system-of-systems environments.
• Knowledge of Defence domains (C2, Command Support or ISR).
• Experience with MBSE tools (DOORS, Rhapsody, ETM).
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Active NV1 security clearance and ability to handle Export Controlled material.
• Proficiency in AI prompting as it applies to verification tasks.

• Plan and execute system-level verification activities across complex integrated environments
• Maintain end-to-end traceability from requirements through to verification evidence
• Support system integration and incremental verification for AIR6500 JABMS capability
• Collaborate with Systems Engineering, Test & Evaluation, Quality, and program stakeholders
• Contribute to continuous improvement of V&V frameworks, processes and tools
• Develop a deep understanding of system architecture, operational capability, and mission requirements

The Opportunity

Eligibility: Applicants must be Australian citizens and be eligible to obtain and maintain an active Australian Government Defence security clearance at the level required for the position.

As a Senior V&V Engineer, you will be part of a high-performing team responsible for delivering robust verification outcomes across complex, integrated systems within a modern, digitally enabled engineering environment.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring system performance, quality, and mission readiness by driving verification activities across the full engineering lifecycle.
