Job summary

Merivale is seeking an energetic Venue Manager for Tal's in Sydney, to lead a large, high-volume operation built around great food, drinks and guest experiences.

You will recruit, train and develop a diverse team, establish an effective operating rhythm, deliver outstanding service, and foster a culture of excellence and fun. 2+ years in hospitality management is essential; hands-on leadership and stakeholder management are key to success.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in hospitality management (high-volume venues).
• Hands-on operator with a focus on high standards.
• Strong people management and training skills.
• Ability to lead a diverse team and guest-focused mindset.

Tal’s is our new, lively and casual venue, shaped by chef Tal Buchnik’s approach to Eastern Mediterranean food and hospitality. Fast, loud and full of energy, it’s built around generous food, great drinks and bringing people together — with the team at the heart of it all.

We are after an energetic, bubbly and experienced Venue Manager with a focus on creating a strong team culture, one that celebrates cultural diversity, and is passionate about creating an authentic and traditional experience for their guests.

You’ll be expected to build, lead and develop a diverse team, maintain a culture that strives for excellence, deliver exceptional guest experience, and have fun along the way. You’ll provide ongoing training to the team through product knowledge and be focused on establishing an effective operation rhythm across the venue.

Our team knows what it takes to deliver guest experiences like no other and with such anticipation surrounding yet another incredible development, we need managers who are:

• Strong operators with focus on delivering high standards and exceptional product
• Hands‑on and operational.
• Experts at stakeholder management.
• Responsible for developing the skills of the staff around product knowledge, service skills, team culture and guest relationships.
• Experienced in managing large teams in a high-volume atmosphere; 2+ years in hospitality management is essential.
