Job summary

Funlab in Sydney, NSW, AU, is seeking a dynamic Venue Manager to lead the pre-opening and deliver an exceptional guest experience from day one. You will shape culture, develop the team, and drive operational excellence across bars, gaming, F&B and service.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Venue Manager or General Manager in hospitality, entertainment, bars, pubs, or premium casual dining.
• Experience managing high-volume trade and late-night service.
• Strong beverage program knowledge and ability to optimise costs while delivering guest excellence.

About the Role

This is more than a Venue Manager position. You will be the driving force behind bringing a brand-new concept to life, creating the culture, developing the team, and delivering an outstanding guest experience from day one. Reporting to the State Manager, you'll oversee all aspects of venue performance including operations, people, guest experience, commercial results, safety, and bar operations. This role is ideal for a leader who thrives in fast-paced hospitality environments and has experience managing high-volume trade, premium beverage programs, and late-night operations.

What you bring

• Proven experience as a Venue Manager or General Manager in hospitality, entertainment, bars, pubs, or premium casual dining
• Understanding of high-volume operations and knows how to lead from the floor
• Strong bar and beverage knowledge, including cocktail-led environments
• Experience managing late-night trade and busy weekend service
