Job summary

The Duke of Dural, part of a boutique NSW pub group, is recruiting for a Full Time Duty Manager or experienced Assistant Venue Manager to lead our busy venue.

You'll manage front-of-house operations, mentor a team, handle rosters, wage control, stock, invoices, and supplier relationships, and ensure NSW liquor and gaming compliance.

We value calm, hands-on leadership, exceptional customer service, and pride in presentation, with availability across rotating weekends and evenings.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in pubs in Sydney or equivalent.
• Solid background in food, beverage, gaming, tab, keno and functions.
• Strong understanding of NSW liquor and gaming compliance.
• Demonstrated financial and operational acumen including wage control, stock, invoices and supplier management.
• Proven ability to train, roster (Deputy preferred), lead and mentor a team.
• Hands-on experience with POS, reporting, and daily cash handling.
• Commitment to compliance, maintenance and policy adherence.
• Experience in gaming systems e.g. Global, S7000.
• Ability to build community rapport and deliver outstanding customer service.
• Full availability to work across rotating rosters including weekends and evenings.
• Full working rights in Australia.
• Mature, proactive, and accountable.
• Calm under pressure, fast on your feet.
• Strong communicator and team player.
• Pride in presentation and professionalism with high attention to detail.
• Passionate about great service, quality products, and genuine hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage front-of-house operations across the venue.
