Job summary

Funlab is seeking a Venue Manager for Strike and Holey Moley in Maroochydore. You will lead a high-energy team to deliver unforgettable guest experiences, drive revenue through smart shifts, and ensure smooth venue operations.

The role requires 2–3 years in entertainment/hospitality management, valid RSA and state manager license with WWC, and availability nights/weekends. Join a people-first culture with opportunities to learn and grow across our venues.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years' experience managing a busy entertainment/hospitality venue.
• RSA and state-approved managers license and Working with Children Check required.
• Availability to work nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead with energy: manage and inspire a high-performing team to deliver memorable guest experiences.
• Drive revenue: upsell and maximise guest spend while managing shifts with a commercial mindset.
• Create WOW spaces: oversee front of house and back of house to keep venues engaging and fun.
• Support your team: mentor and develop staff across guest service, bartending and events.
• Oversee operations: manage rosters, recruitment, training, P&L, forecasting and processes.
• Cultivate culture: foster collaboration and an inclusive, high-energy work environment.
• Grow and shine: develop skills across operations in a bustling entertainment venue.

What You'll Do

• Lead with energy: Be a hands-on, guest-focused leader who motivates your team to create unforgettable experiences
• Boost revenue: Drive up and cross selling to enhance the guest experience and go the extra mile to wow our guests. Run amazing shifts with your commercial mindset
• Create WOW spaces: Transform your venue into the ultimate FUN destination
• Support your team: Inspire and mentor a high-energy team of customer service, bartender and function host pros
• Manager & oversee operations: Take control of front of house & back of house portfolios like rosters, recruitment, training, P&L management, forecasting, and more
• Cultivate culture: Build a collaborative, inclusive vibe that makes coming to work exciting
• Grow and shine: Amplify your skills and those of your team while mastering all aspects of a bustling entertainment venue

What You've Got

• Minimum 2-3 years' experience managing a busy entertainment / hospitality venue
• A valid RSA, relevant state approved managers license and Working with Children Check
• Availability to work nights and weekends. After all, that's where the action is at!
• An obsession with providing the best guest experiences
• Experience in driving revenues on shift
• Proactive, with a sense of urgency and a positive can-do attitude
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Well organised planner who works well under timeline pressures and tackling multiple priorities
• Capable problem-solver and thinking on your feet
• Proven ability to build and manage relationships with different stakeholders
• A desire to show off what you've got and what heights you can take the business!
