Job summary

Funlab Pty Ltd is seeking a Venue Manager for our Point Cook venues (Strike Bowling, Holey Moley, Archie Brothers). You’ll lead guest-focused teams across front and back of house, delivering unforgettable experiences while driving revenue and growth.

You’ll manage rosters, training, P&L, and recruitment with a hands-on approach, creating a fun, safe, and inclusive workplace for our Motherfunners.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years managing a busy entertainment/hospitality venue.
• RSA certification and Working with Children Check.
• Availability to work nights and weekends.
• Proven track record of driving revenue on shift.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Well organised with strong prioritisation under timelines.
• Strong stakeholder relationship building and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Lead with energy and guest-focused leadership to motivate the team.
• Drive revenue through upselling and guest experience enhancements.
• Transform the venue into a dynamic, fun destination.
• Mentor a high-energy team of guest service staff, bartenders, and hosts.
• Oversee front-of-house and back-of-house ops, rosters, training, and forecasting.
• Foster a collaborative, inclusive culture and positive work vibe.
• Develop team skills and drive performance across the venue.

What You'll Do

• Lead with energy: Be a hands-on, guest-focused leader who motivates your team to create unforgettable experiences
• Boost revenue: Drive up and cross selling to enhance the guest experience and go the extra mile to wow our guests. Run amazing shifts with your commercial mindset
• Create WOW spaces: Transform your venue into the ultimate FUN destination
• Support your team: Inspire and mentor a high-energy team of customer service, bartender and function host pros
• Manager & oversee operations: Take control of front of house & back of house portfolios like rosters, recruitment, training, P&L management, forecasting, and more
• Cultivate culture: Build a collaborative, inclusive vibe that makes coming to work exciting
• Grow and shine: Amplify your skills and those of your team while mastering all aspects of a bustling entertainment venue

What You've Got

• Minimum 2-3 years' experience managing a busy entertainment / hospitality venue
• A valid RSA, relevant state approved managers license and Working with Children Check
• Availability to work nights and weekends. After all, that’s where the action is at!
• An obsession with providing the best guest experiences
• Experience in driving revenues on shift
• Proactive, with a sense of urgency and a positive can-do attitude
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Well organised planner who works well under timeline pressures and tackling multiple priorities
• Capable problem-solver and thinking on your feet
• Proven ability to build and manage relationships with different stakeholders
• A desire to show off what you've got and what heights you can take the business!
