Job summary

One For The Road is seeking a Venue Manager to lead the Federal Hotel team in Fremantle. The role focuses on strong food and beverage service, live sport and events, and a busy functions calendar within a 21-room hotel setting.

You will be responsible for day-to-day operations, team leadership, service flow, cash handling, stock control, and delivering outstanding guest experiences across all shifts in a fast-paced venue.

Qualifications

• Proven management experience at a hospitality venue.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Ability to stay calm and solve problems quickly under pressure.
• Experience with point-of-sale systems (H&L POS preferred) and rostering software (Tanda preferred).

Responsibilities

• Run day-to-day venue operations from open to close.
• Lead, train and motivate the team to deliver great service.
• Manage busy service flows and ensure smooth operations.
• Handle cash, stock control and reporting duties.
• Deliver exceptional customer experiences on every shift.
• Keep the venue compliant, clean and well-presented.
• Drive systems, structure and revenue growth, and plan large events.

One For The Road is a family owned hospitality group behind some of Fremantle's favourite venues - South Beach Hotel, Federal Boutique Hotel, 8 Knots Tavern and Bicton Tavern. We're all about great food, relaxed vibes, and creating places people want to hang out.

We're on the hunt for a Venue Manager to lead the team at the Federal Hotel. With a strong food and beverage offering, live sport, entertainment, a busy functions calendar and 21 hotel rooms, this is a fast paced, high energy venue that needs someone who can own it.

What you'll be doing

• Running day-to-day venue operations (open to close)
• Leading, training and motivating the team
• Managing service flow during busy periods
• Handling cash, stock control and reporting
• Delivering great customer experiences (every shift)
• Keeping the venue sharp - clean, compliant and on point
• Driving systems, structure and consistency
• Coming up with new ways to drive revenue and the business forward
• Planning and executing large format events throughout the year

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in a management role
• Strong leadership and people skills
• Ability to stay cool under pressure and solve problems fast
• Experience with H&L POS (preferred)
• Tanda rostering experience (nice to have)
• First Aid + Food Safety cert (preferred)
