Job summary

The Belongil Group is seeking a Full Time Venue Manager to lead The Bistro in Byron Bay. You will be responsible for day-to-day operations, delivering outstanding service, and driving financial performance in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

You will manage staff, uphold guest standards, control costs, and develop team capabilities to exceed business objectives while embodying craft, culture and community that The Belongil is known for.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a comparable hospitality management role.
• Strong business acumen and leadership.
• Hold a valid RSA and First Aid certificate, or willingness to obtain.

About the Role

We are looking for a Full Time Venue Manager to to lead our team at The Bistro. As Venue Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of The Bistro, leading a high-performing team and ensuring outstanding service, operational excellence, and financial performance. You will be a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, inspires those around you, and takes pride in creating memorable experiences for both guests and team members. You will;

• Manage day-to-day operations across venues, including staff performance, guest service standards, and product quality;
• Ensure effective financial management, controlling costs (food, labour) to meet sales budgets and profit targets;
• Lead people practices including recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, performance management, development, and offboarding;
• Develop team members’ product knowledge and role capabilities to exceed Belongil Group’s business objectives.

About You

To be the perfect addition to The Belongil Bistro, you will have 5 years prior experience in a comparable role within a hospitality business where you've applied your strong business acumen and shown excellent leadership. You'll also:

• Be highly professional and customer oriented;
• Be confident, calm and approachable;
• Be motivated to continue growing and developing your career with an excellent business;
• Hold a valid RSA and First Aid certificate, or willingness to obtain.
