Job summary

Scary Canary, part of Tourism Adventure Group, is seeking a Venue Manager in Sydney CBD to lead guest experience, energise the venue and drive revenue through events, partnerships and strong leadership.

You will be highly visible on the floor, mentor junior staff and cultivate relationships with hostels, operators and student organisations while delivering memorable nights for a young, international crowd.

Qualifications

• Experience leading hospitality teams in busy venues.
• Ability to read a room and respond quickly to guest needs.
• Strong network-building with local partners (hostels, operators, universities).
• Experience planning events and promotions to drive visits and revenue.

Responsibilities

• Own guest experience, venue atmosphere and commercial opportunities.
• Lead from the floor, ensure staff engagement and guest recognition.
• Identify opportunities and build relationships to turn experiences into repeat business.
• Grow patronage, events and partnerships to increase revenue.
• Manage events, marketing input and venue identity with the team.
• Ensure RSA, liquor licensing, food safety and compliance standards.
