Job summary

Virgin Australia, Velocity Frequent Flyer, is seeking a commercially minded Digital Product Owner for the Velocity App to shape the app’s roadmap and deliver value for members and the business.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Digital and Product Experience, you’ll own the Velocity App roadmap, translate business needs into clear requirements, work with designers and engineers, and make data‑driven decisions to improve the app.

Qualifications

• Three years’ experience in digital product ownership or product management.
• Experience owning a digital product roadmap and prioritising competing business, customer and technical needs.
• Experience working in agile delivery teams with designers, engineers and delivery specialists.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the Velocity App roadmap, balancing member experience, commercial growth and ongoing product health.
• Prioritise requests using member and business value, risk, effort and delivery capacity.
• Translate business needs into clear product requirements, acceptance criteria and success measures.
• Partner with UX/UI designers, Business Analysts, Delivery Managers and Engineering leads to keep the backlog refined and ready for delivery.
• Manage dependencies and support sequencing, release planning and timely product decisions.
• Confirm delivered features meet agreed requirements and review their performance after launch.
• Use analytics, member feedback and research to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Build strong relationships across Velocity and Virgin Australia to create connected digital experiences.
