Job summary

Elz Collision Centre in Prestons, NSW, is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team. You will assess vehicle damage, prepare detailed repair estimates and communicate options clearly to clients.

As the front line for quotes, you will liaise with technicians and management to ensure estimates reflect repair capabilities and timelines. You will review insurer requirements, photograph and document damage, maintain an accurate estimate database and build strong relationships with customers

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a vehicle estimator or in a similar role within the automotive collision repair industry.
• Comprehensive knowledge of vehicle construction, damage assessment techniques and repair procedures across makes/models.
• Proficiency with estimating software platforms commonly used in the automotive repair industry.
• Strong understanding of insurance claim procedures, policy requirements and third-party claim processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical information to non-technical clients.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in preparing estimates and documentation.
• Ability to manage multiple estimates and prioritise workload efficiently.
• Valid driver's licence and ability to operate vehicles safely for test drives and positioning.
• Professional appearance and demeanour representing our brand with clients.
• Preferred: Knowledge of latest vehicle technologies, hybrid and electric vehicle components, and paint-matching systems.
