Job summary

Midcoast Trucks in Macksville seeks an experienced Vehicle Reconditioning Inspection Team Manager to lead the inspection and logging of vehicles at our Macksville site. You will oversee the Log Team, coordinate with sales and parts, and ensure timely vehicle compliance and safety documentation.

The role requires a strong operational mindset, excellent Excel skills, and proven supervision of automotive or fleet operations. A Heavy Vehicle Licence and NHVR inspection qualification are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience in transport, fleet, or automotive operations.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and digital log systems.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Understanding of vehicle compliance and safety requirements.
• Experience with inventory management.
• Heavy Vehicle Driver Licence is required.
• NHVR Heavy Vehicle Inspection qualification is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily logging and tracking of vehicles entering and exiting the site.
• Manage and support the Log Team, including task allocation and training.
• Maintain accurate vehicle records, work orders and compliance documentation.
• Coordinate with other operation department, Sales and Parts teams to meet deadlines.
• Monitor parts usage and ensure correct allocation to stock numbers.
• Maintain Trade Plate records and vehicle inspection documentation.
• Ensure compliance with WHS requirements and transport regulations.
• Provide reporting and updates to management as required.
