Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Education or relevant tertiary qualification (required).
• VIT registration (required).
• A strong commitment to Catholic education.
• Accreditation to teach Religious Education (preferred).
• Ability to build and maintain professional and caring relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Skills to create an engaging, educational, and challenging learning environment that caters to the diverse needs of all students.
• An eagerness to learn and grow in the field of education.
• Proficiency in implementing a differentiated curriculum and leveraging modern technology to support student learning.

Responsibilities

• Create a child-safe environment for students.
• Adhere to the school's Child Protection Policy and Child Safety Staff Code of Conduct.
• Collaborate with Class/House Mentors, Education Support Team, Year Level/House Coordinators, School Psychologists, and Directors of Students to monitor student progress and well‑being.
• Provide timely marking and feedback to student work.
• Develop and deliver programs that leverage technology to enhance learning.
• Set and maintain high expectations for student performance standards.
• Comply with ongoing professional development requirements as per VIT guidelines.
• Identify personal professional learning needs and participate in the annual Professional Learning Plan process.
• Actively engage in internal and external professional development to enhance teaching practices.
• Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to effectively engage students.
