Job summary

De La Salle College Malvern seeks a dedicated teacher for VCE Computing, VCE Systems Engineering, and Digital Technology. This fixed-term leave replacement role runs from 19 October 2026 to the end of the school year, with remuneration based on experience per the Catholic Education Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2022.

The successful candidate must hold VIT registration and Accreditation to teach Religious Education.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Create a safe learning environment for students and adhere to Child Protection policies.
• Collaborate with Class/House Mentors, Education Support Team, coordinators, school psychologists and others to monitor progress.
• Provide timely marking and feedback to student work and assessments.
• Develop and deliver programs leveraging technology to enhance learning in VCE Computing, Systems Engineering and Digital Technology.
• Maintain high expectations for student performance and engagement.
• Participate in professional development as per VIT guidelines and annual PLP process.
• Utilize diverse teaching methods and resources to engage all learners.

About the role

We are currently seeking teacher for VCE Computing, VCE Systems Engineering, and Digital Technology. This is a leave replacement position from 19 October 2026 to the end of the school year.

Remuneration will be based on experience, following the Teacher scale of the Catholic Education Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2022 (CEMEA).

Job Description:

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Creating a child-safe environment for students.
• Adhering to the school's Child Protection Policy and Child Safety Staff Code of Conduct.
• Collaborating with various stakeholders, such as Class/House Mentors, Education Support Team, Year Level/House Coordinators, School Psychologists, and Directors of Students, to monitor student progress and well-being.
• Providing timely marking and feedback to student work.
• Developing and delivering programs that leverage technology to enhance learning.
• Setting and maintaining high expectations for student performance standards.
• Complying with ongoing professional development requirements as per VIT guidelines.
• Identifying personal professional learning needs and participating in the annual Professional Learning Plan process.
• Actively engaging in internal and external professional development to enhance teaching practices.
• Utilizing a variety of teaching methods and resources to effectively engage students in their learning journey.

Skills/Experience Required:

We require the following qualifications and qualities in the ideal candidate:

• Bachelor of Education or relevant tertiary qualification.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the Victorian Curriculum Digital Technologies and VCE study designs.
• A strong commitment to Catholic education.
• Accreditation to teach Religious Education required
• Ability to build and maintain professional and caring relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Skills to create an engaging, educational, and challenging learning environment that caters to the diverse needs of all students.
• An eagerness to learn and grow in the field of education.
• Proficiency in implementing a differentiated curriculum and leveraging modern technology to support student learning.

Special Requirements:
