Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the relevant curriculum with ability to incorporate literacy and numeracy skills.
• Experience planning for and implementing high impact teaching strategies, guided by how students learn.
• Experience monitoring and assessing student learning with data to inform teaching and provide feedback to students and parents.
• Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills with students, parents and staff.
• Commitment to Department values and ongoing professional learning.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups of students and individual students.
• Contribute to development, implementation and evaluation of a curriculum area.
• Undertaking other classroom teaching related and organisational duties.
• Participate in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions.
• Undertaking other non-teaching supervisory duties.
