Job summary

Richmond High School in Melbourne is seeking a fixed-term VCE English Teacher (1.0 FTE) to join our public school community. The successful candidate will deliver engaging English instruction, develop high quality learning programs and monitor student progress.

You will collaborate with colleagues to support student wellbeing, attendance and engagement, while reflecting on practice and pursuing ongoing professional learning.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of the Victorian curriculum and the ability to teach literacy and numeracy.
• Experience planning and delivering high impact teaching strategies aligned to how students learn.
• Experience monitoring and assessing learning and providing feedback using data.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with students, families and colleagues.
• Commitment to professional learning and reflecting on practice to improve teaching quality.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of VCE English to allocated classes.
• Plan, implement and evaluate programs to achieve student outcomes.
• Use student data to inform teaching and provide feedback to students and parents.
• Collaborate with staff and the broader school community to support wellbeing and engagement.
• Contribute to professional learning and school improvement initiatives.
