Job summary

Loreto Mandeville Hall Toorak is seeking an experienced VCE English Teacher for a full-time, ongoing position commencing Term 1, 2027. The role includes teaching VCE English and other year levels, with experience in Literature and/or Religious Education highly desirable.

The successful applicant will report to the Head of Faculty and foster critical thinking, linguistic skills and thoughtful engagement with texts, supporting girls to express ideas confidently and with integrity.

Qualifications

• Current Teaching Registration (Victorian Institute of Teaching)
• Demonstrated experience teaching VCE English is essential
• Experience teaching Literature and/or Religious Education is highly desirable
• Understanding and appreciation of student learning strategies and styles
• Excellent communication skills to a range of audiences
• Collaborative approach with colleagues in planning and delivering curriculum
• Proven experience in establishing and fostering relationships with students, staff and parents
