Job summary

St Albans Secondary College is seeking a dedicated classroom teacher to deliver high-quality programs for Year 7–12 students. You will plan, teach and assess across a range of subjects, contributing to literacy, numeracy and student wellbeing.

The role involves collaborating with colleagues, mentoring students, and participating in a broad extracurricular program designed to engage learners and foster resilience and leadership.

Qualifications

• Provisional or full registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching.
• Completion of a postgraduate initial teacher education program accredited in Australia.
• Demonstrated literacy and numeracy attainment (LANTITE) requirements.
• Ability to apply high-impact teaching strategies and differentiate instruction.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups and individuals to achieve targeted outcomes.
• Contribute to development, implementation and evaluation of curriculum areas.
• Undertake other duties aligned with school priorities and schedule.
• Collaborate with staff, parents and community to support wellbeing and learning.
• Engage in professional learning and reflective practice to improve practice.
