Job summary

De La Salle College Malvern seeks a leave replacement teacher for VCE Computing, VCE Systems Engineering and Digital Technology. Remuneration follows the Catholic Education Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2022.

The successful candidate will support student progress, wellbeing and technology-enabled learning within a Catholic education framework. Key duties include classroom management, collaboration with school stakeholders, timely feedback, and ongoing professional development to meet VIT

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Education or relevant tertiary qualification.
• Accreditation to teach Religious Education required.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Victorian Curriculum Digital Technologies and VCE study designs.
• Ability to build professional and caring relationships with students, parents and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Creating a child-safe environment for students.
• Adhering to the school's Child Protection Policy and Child Safety Staff Code of Conduct.
• Collaborating with Class/House Mentors, Education Support Team, Year Level/House Coordinators, School Psychologists and Directors of Students to monitor progress and well-being.
• Providing timely marking and feedback to student work.
• Ensuring up-to-date student data management systems.
• Developing and delivering programs that leverage technology to enhance learning.
• Setting and maintaining high expectations for student performance standards.
• Complying with ongoing professional development requirements as per VIT guidelines.
• Identifying personal professional learning needs and participating in the annual Professional Learning Plan process.
• Engaging in internal and external professional development to enhance teaching practices.
• Utilising a variety of teaching methods and resources to engage students in their learning journey.

Remuneration will be based on experience, following the Teacher scale of the Catholic Education Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2022 (CEMEA). De La Salle College is an integral part of the faith community of Malvern and Malvern East. • An eagerness to learn and grow in the field of education.
• Proficiency in implementing a differentiated curriculum and leveraging modern technology to support student learning.

Special Requirements
