Job summary

Australia Post is looking for a Van Driver to join our Brookvale depot on a permanent part-time basis. You’ll drive a company van, collect mail and parcels, and sort items back at the depot, working 25 hours across Monday to Friday and 2:15pm–7:15pm.

You’ll be supported by experienced drivers while building safe driving habits and learning the ropes of transport operations. If you value teamwork, being on the move, and delivering for your local community, this is a great fit.

Qualifications

• Hold a full or probationary Australian driver’s licence.

• Safety‑focused and able to pass a driving assessment.

• Able to handle packages up to 16kg daily.

Responsibilities

• Deliver mail and parcels using a company van to various locations.

About the opportunity

In this role, you’ll safely operate a company van to collect mail and parcels from a range of locations, including street posting boxes, corporate offices, licensed post offices and delivery centres. You’ll unload and accurately sort mail and parcels, complete daily vehicle safety checks, and take pride in doing the job right every time. You’ll be supported on the road by experienced senior drivers who are invested in your development, helping you build capability, confidence, and a strong foundation for long‑term success.

About you

• Hold a full or probationary Australian driver’s licence
• You have experience driving an automatic or manual van (all ours are auto)
• Safety‑focused and able to pass our practical driving assessment
• Reliable and flexible, with the ability to work additional hours when required
• Detail‑oriented and consistent, taking pride in getting the job done right
• Ok to handle packages that may contain food/alcohol
• Comfortable handling mail and parcels up to 16kg as part of daily work
• Meet our safe working load requirement of 130kg or less
• Keen to learn, develop skills and progress your career in transport and operations
