Job summary

Assetlink is seeking a dedicated Utility All Rounder / Bus Driver to support remote WA village operations. The role mixes general utility duties with 20% bus driving, including passenger transport and scheduled runs.

You will help maintain cleanliness, assist kitchen services, and contribute to a safe, welcoming environment. Applicants should have cleaning/ hospitality experience, strong teamwork, and a valid HR licence with PTD authorisation, police clearance, and the ability to pass a medical.

Qualifications

• Current HR Driver’s Licence with Passenger Transport Driver (PTD) authorisation – essential.
• Current National Police Clearance (within 6 months).
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening (LABDAS).
• Valid WA Driver’s Licence.
• RSA Certificate.
• Full Australian Working Rights.

Responsibilities

• Housekeeping, accommodation room cleaning and hygiene maintenance across village sites.
• Cleaning village facilities, amenities, and communal areas.
• Support kitchen and dining room operations, including dishwashing and staff meals.
• Assist with food preparation and service where required.
• Safely operating buses to transport employees and residents as required.
• Complete scheduled bus runs and transport duties; perform vehicle checks.

About the Role

This is a combined Utility All Rounder / Bus Driver position, with approximately 80% of your role focused on general utility duties and 20% focused on bus driving.

As a Utility All Rounder, you will support multiple areas of village operations to help deliver a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and fellow team members across remote WA sites.

When required, you will also be responsible for safely transporting employees and residents around the village and site locations.

You will be responsible for:

• Housekeeping and accommodation room cleaning
• Cleaning village facilities, amenities, and communal areas
• Supporting kitchen and dining room operations
• Dishwashing and kitchen cleaning duties
• Assisting with food preparation and meal service
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across all work areas
• Supporting tavern and hospitality services where required
• Waste management and general village upkeep
• Grounds maintenance and outdoor cleaning duties
• Safely operating buses to transport employees and residents as required
• Completing scheduled bus runs and transport duties
• Conducting vehicle checks and reporting any maintenance or safety issues
• Ensuring passenger safety and following all site and transport procedures
• Working collaboratively with village teams to support operational requirements
• Contributing to a positive team culture and safe working environment
• Flexibility to work across different service areas and shifts as required

Essential Requirements
