Job summary

Harrigan Motor Group is looking for a vehicle sales trainee to learn the fundamentals of car sales and start a career in the automotive industry. Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will learn, sell, and build relationships with customers, while presenting vehicles with care and enthusiasm.

You will train in a fast-paced environment, supported by an experienced team, with opportunities for training and internal progression in a well-established Illawarra family business.

• Current manual driver's licence
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
• Great organising abilities
• Reliable and take pride in your work

• Previous Customer Service experience with an inviting and helpful demeanor
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including some level of computer literacy

About the role

We are looking to recruit a vehicle sales trainee that will learn the fundamentals of car sales and begin their career within the automotive industry. Reporting directly to the Sales Manager, your responsibilities as a sales trainee will include:

• Learn all aspects of the automotive industry and dealer management system
• Sell preowned vehicles
• Gain business from new and existing customers
• Understand customer objectives, buying criteria and decision-making processes
• Provide top level customer service
• Maintain excellent knowledge about all vehicles and products as well as the overall presentation of vehicles

To be considered, applicants must have:

• Current manual driver's licence
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
• Great organising abilities
• Reliable and take pride in your work
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Previous Customer Service experience with an ability to be inviting, vibrant and helpful in all clientele interactions
