ABOUT THE ROLE:

Are you passionate about cars and confident in valuing vehicles in the fast-moving used car market? We are seeking a motivatedUsed Vehicle Private Buyerto join our growing team at a leading Toyota dealership.

This is a unique opportunity for someone with strong vehicle valuation skills and used car market knowledge to build a highly rewarding career. This mobile role is predominantly work-from-home, with a focus on sourcing quality used vehicles directly from the public through platforms such as CarSales, Facebook Marketplace and other online marketplaces. You’ll be responsible for identifying, valuing and securing quality vehicles for Coffs Harbour Toyota, helping to build a strong and competitive used vehicle stock portfolio for the dealership.

This is a highly commission-based role where your income is directly linked to your performance. For a driven individual who understands the market and is prepared to put in the effort, six-figure earnings are absolutely achievable.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As our Private Vehicle Buyer, you will be responsible for identifying, negotiating, and purchasing used vehicles that meet our dealership’s retail standards.

Key responsibilities include:

• Monitoring online platforms such as Carsales and Facebook Marketplace for vehicle purchasing opportunities
• Accurately valuing vehicles based on market data, condition, and demand
• Negotiating purchases directly with private sellers
• Securing vehicles that meet dealership retail criteria
• Building relationships with private sellers and generating vehicle buying opportunities
• Working closely with the dealership management team to maintain strong used vehicle stock levels

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Strong knowledge of the used vehicle market
• Experience in vehicle valuation and purchasing
• Ability to negotiate confidently with private sellers
• Self-motivated and highly driven to achieve results
• Comfortable working in a performance-based environment
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Previous experience in used car buying, vehicle appraisal, or dealership sales will be highly regarded
