Job summary

University of Queensland's Gatton Campus invites applications for an Urgent Care Veterinary Nurse. You will work across emergency, intensive care, isolation and hospital wards with veterinarians, specialists and students in a collaborative clinical environment.

The role involves rotating shifts including evenings, nights and weekends, with a base salary range of AU$79,096 to AU$83,863 plus 17% superannuation. Pre-employment checks apply and training opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Qualified veterinary nurse with experience in emergency/critical care.
• Ability to assess, monitor and treat patients in ICU, isolation and wards.
• Strong communication and teamwork in a teaching hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor and treat patients in ICU and wards.
• Support veterinarians during emergency procedures and imaging.
• Maintain instruments/equipment and contribute to SOP reviews.
• Provide clinical teaching and client service in a teaching hospital.
