Job summary

North Sydney Council is recruiting for a Trees team member to maintain and enhance the urban forest across North Sydney. You will work under the Team Leader and Urban Forest Supervisor, engaging in scheduled and reactive maintenance to ensure health and safety of trees within our communities.

The role offers on-site work with a 35-hour week for indoor staff or fortnightly RDOs for outdoor staff, with strong focus on safety, training, and ongoing development through on-the-job training and

Qualifications

• Must have WorkCover General Induction Card (White card) for construction work.
• Willingness to learn the safe use of chainsaws.
• Positive attitude towards teamwork and communication.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance the green spaces of North Sydney.
• Operate equipment and perform essential arboricultural tasks.
• Follow safety procedures under supervision of Team Leader and Urban Forest Supervisor.
• Contribute to scheduled and reactive tree maintenance programs.
