Kingston City Council is seeking a Tree Planting Officer to plan and deliver Kingston's annual street and park tree planting programs, contributing to shade, biodiversity and community well-being across Dingley Village and surrounding areas.

The role requires experience in arboriculture or urban forestry, strong project coordination of contractors, and stakeholder engagement with residents and internal teams. A commitment to safety and environmental outcomes is essential.

Formación

• Experience in arboriculture, horticulture or urban forestry.
• Qualifications and experience in tree planting programs highly regarded.
• Knowledge of tree species selection and planting techniques.
• Strong coordination of contractors and stakeholder management.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, coordinate and deliver Kingston's annual street and park tree planting programs across Council-managed land.
• Identify and assess suitable planting opportunities and select appropriate species for canopy, biodiversity and tree health.
• Coordinate and manage tree planting and establishment contractors with safety and contractual compliance.
• Engage with residents to respond to inquiries about proposed street and park tree planting programs.
• Monitor establishment and performance of newly planted trees and maintain asset/program records.
