CFC is seeking an Underwriter for Financial Lines in Melbourne, Australia, to cover a 12-month maternity leave. You will manage renewals, assess new business, and sustain strong broker relationships while ensuring compliance with underwriting guidelines and local regulations.

You will monitor portfolio performance, stay informed on market developments, and participate in market engagement activities to grow the Financial Lines book.

Qualifikationen

• 2+ years’ experience as a Financial Lines underwriter.

Description

Are you a motivated and relationship-driven insurance professional looking to take the next step in your Underwriting Career? We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Underwriter to join our Melbourne Financial Lines team for a 12 month maternity leave cover to start JANUARY 2027.

About the role:

You will play a key role in managing and growing a Financial Lines portfolio by handling renewals, assessing and converting new business opportunities, and delivering responsive, high-quality service to brokers. You’ll monitor portfolio performance, ensure compliance with underwriting and legislative requirements, stay across industry developments, and actively participate in market engagement and networking activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and service an existing Financial Lines portfolio, including renewals and mid‑term adjustments
• Assess and underwrite new business opportunities in line with authority and guidelines
• Strengthen and maintain strong broker relationships through responsive and professional service
