Job summary

CHU Underwriting Agencies is seeking a property underwriter to join our growing team. You will handle underwriting renewals, new business and endorsements, providing timely, professional premium quotes while maintaining a strong focus on client service and risk improvement.

This role offers a flexible hybrid work model across Australia, with a commitment to support and development within a collaborative, award-winning underwriting team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years’ experience in property underwriting.
• Understanding of quality service standards.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Consistent delivery of exceptional customer service within agreed workflow timeframes.
• Underwriting renewals, new business & endorsements per your authority.
• Provide premium quotes in a timely and professional manner.
• Monitor and report on loss ratio.
• Actively implementing risk improvements regularly.

What your new job looks like

Reporting to the UnderwritingTeam Leader, this role will offer the successful candidate a wonderful opportunity to use your insurance knowledge and flair, working in a growing and high-performing team.The successful candidate must demonstrate initiative, a commitment to excellence in client service, must be a team player and have ability to prioritise tasks in order to meet deadlines.

The role will involve;

Consistent delivery of exceptional customer service within agreed workflow timeframes.

Underwriting renewals, new business & endorsements in line with your underwriting authority level

Provide premium quotes in a timely and professional manner

Monitoring and reporting on loss ratio

Actively implementing risk improvements on a regular basis

Especially if you can talk to us about your:

Minimum 2+ years’ experience in property underwriting

Understanding of quality service standards

High level skills in organisation, time management & problem solving

Previous Strata specific Underwriting experience

Knowledge of Strata Management Industry

Established relationships in broker market
