Job summary

Caterpillar is seeking a dedicated Validation Lead to drive automated robotic systems in underground environments within the MineStar for underground product ecosystem. You will own validation planning, asset development, and end-to-end execution in collaboration with product, engineering, and customer support teams.

Based in Perth, you will coordinate with cross-functional groups, manage test concepts and documentation, and engage customers and dealers through demonstrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science from an accredited program.
• Minimum 5+ years as a validation lead for complex hardware-software systems.
• Experience validating complex hardware-software systems in challenging environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to document technical concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

• Provide program management leadership with documentation for gate reviews.
• Represent validation engineering across the lifecycle from need definition to T&E.
• Maintain focus on quality and customer value during program execution.
• Develop test concepts, validation requirements, and validation plans.
• Lead issue management and cross-team collaboration to ensure coverage and risk communication.
• Support planning and execution of lead test activities at proving grounds and customer sites.
• Engage with customers and dealers through product demonstrations.
