Job summary

Catalyst Metals Limited seeks an experienced Underground Mining Supervisor to lead a crew of up to 20, delivering safe and productive outcomes in a long-life underground operation. The role reports to the Mine Foreman and focuses on safety leadership, mentoring, and continuous improvement across multiple mining styles.

The successful candidate will hold a WA Underground Supervisor's Certificate, a current C-class licence, First Aid, DGSC, and be capable of engaging across all levels, with a

Qualifications

• Must hold WA Underground Supervisor's Certificate of Competency (Section 26)
• Solid knowledge of the Mine Safety and Inspection Act and Regulations
• Current WA 'C' Class Drivers Licence
• First Aid Certificate required
• DGSC or DG Security Card desired
• National Police Clearance obtainable
• Experience in remnant underground mining valued
• Proven leadership with underground teams and stakeholders

About the Role

Reporting to the Mine Foreman, this is an opportunity to be involved and help drive improvements to our owner-operator Mines. As we grow across the belt, our satellite operations are creating opportunities for exposure to different ore bodies and mining environments, including upcoming narrow vein and paste-fill operations. As a Mining Supervisor, you'll play a key role in leading crews, delivering safe and productive outcomes, and supporting the continued growth of our underground operations. You'll have the opportunity to influence how we operate, mentor and develop team members and help build capable, high-performing crews. Key Responsibilities

• Set and uphold a high standard of work with strong safety leadership
• Promote, uphold and maintain a strong safety culture across all Underground Activities and workgroups
• Lead and co-ordinate your crew of up to 20 people to safety achieve production targets
• Fulfil responsibilities as the Statutory Appointed Underground Shift Supervsior in accordance with legislative requirements
• Ensure compliance with mining plans, site procedures and legislative requirements
• Support, mentor and develop our underground operators and team members
• Collaborate with Technical Services to help identify and seek improvements to how we mine
• Work collaboratively with Technical Services, Maintenance and other key stakeholders
• Drive accountability, performance and continuous improvement within your team
• Demonstrate visible safety leadership by fostering workforce engagement, proactively managing risk and promoting a strong safety culture

About you

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

• WA Underground Supervisor's Certificate of Competency (Section 26 Statutory Qualification)
• Sound knowledge of the Mine Safety and Inspection Act and Regulations
• Current "C" Class Western Australian Drivers Licence
• First Aid Certificate
• Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to engage across all levels
• Current Dangerous Goods Security Card (DGSC)
• The ability to obtain a National Police Clearance
• Previous experience in remnant underground mining will be held in high regard
• Significant underground mining experience, with proven leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement
