Job summary

Steadfast Mining Maintenance in Stawell, VIC is seeking an Underground service crew/Trade Assistant to support ventilation installation and repairs, poly pipe work, and underground construction. You will assist trades, operate machines, and help with concreting and material transport underground, ensuring high productivity and uptime.

The role requires a current Drivers Licence, ability to work underground, and willingness to pass medicals, D&A tests and police checks.

Qualifications

• Able to work in underground conditions.
• Current Drivers Licence.
• Trade background highly regarded but not essential.
• Flexibility to move between projects and work roster.
• Pass pre-employment medical, Drug & Alcohol screening and Police check.
• Demonstrated ability to apply site safety systems requirements.

Responsibilities

• Underground service crew including ventilation install/repair, poly pipe install/repair, cable runs, ventilation walls.
• Underground construction including concreting, building, transporting materials underground and machine operating.
• Implement solutions to minimise downtime.
• Trade assistant to all trades including fitter and welders.
• Conduct yard duties including pressure washing, sandblasting, painting and cleaning up.
• Complete maintenance and service crew administration in a timely, legible manner.
• Participate in toolbox and safety meetings.
• Participate in Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and JSA's.
