Job summary

Hawkins Industrial Contracting – Cobar NSW is recruiting for an Underground Service Crew role at a major Far West NSW underground mining operation. The position offers a three-month engagement with a genuine temp-to-permanent opportunity and a flat hourly rate of $45–$50 plus super on all hours.

Duties include installing and extending underground services, ventilation work, piping for air and water, dewatering, cable handling, and supporting production crews while ensuring safety documentation

Qualifications

• Previous underground hard-rock mining experience.
• Trade experience relevant to Level 1 or Level 2.
• Current Australian driver’s licence.
• Ability to complete a pre-employment medical and functional assessment.
• Australian working rights.

Suitable personnel will have the opportunity to transition into permanent employment with the mine following the initial engagement.

What we’re looking for

• Service Crew experience appropriate to Level 1 or Level 2
• Previous external industry Trade Experience
• Current Australian driver’s licence
• Strong commitment to workplace safety
• Ability to complete a pre-employment medical and functional assessment
• Australian working rights
