Job summary

Northern Star Resources Limited is seeking an experienced Underground Training & Safety Coordinator for Kalgoorlie. This permanent full-time role supports safe procedures, competency assessments, inspections, and emergency management in a mechanised hard rock mine.

You will hold Cert IV in Training and Assessment and Cert IV in Occupational Health and Safety, drive safety training, ensure compliance with WHS Acts, and contribute to relocation packages for Kalgoorlie. FIFO from Perth is available.

Qualifications

• Underground production experience in mechanised hard rock environment.
• Polity knowledge of WHS Act and Mining Regulations.
• Competency-based training and assessment experience.
• Experience with incident investigations, audits and inspections.
• Strong communication and relationship-building across all levels.
• Intermediate Excel and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain safe work procedures.
• Coordinate and monitor procedural systems, processes and training.
• Verify competency assessments to meet skill requirements.
• Conduct inspections and task observations for safety compliance.
• Inspect and manage emergency equipment and systems in underground.
