Nearheal regional mining operations seek an Underground Safety Training Supervisor to lead safety training, procedure development and competency verification in a mechanised hard rock environment.

You will coordinate training programs, conduct inspections, manage emergency equipment, and partner with leadership to promote a zero-harm culture across Kalgoorlie operations. This role offers residential or FIFO arrangements and a clear career development path.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (essential).
• Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety (essential).
• Minimum C class manual unencumbered drivers licence.

Underground Safety Training Supervisor

• Job Title: Safety Training - Supervisor


• Employment Type: Permanent Full Time - Kalgoorlie residential or FIFO ex Perth


• Roster: 8/6 12hr shifts

Here’s what awaits you:

• Develop, implement, and maintain safe work procedures and promote high safety awareness.


• Develop, coordinate, and monitor procedural systems, processes, and training in accordance with company and legislative requirements.


• Conducting verification of competency assessments for all employees to ensure skill requirements are met.


• Undertake regular inspections and task observations to ensure compliance and a safe work environment.


• Inspect and manage emergency equipment and systems in the underground environment.

Experience:

• Underground production experience in a mechanised hard rock underground environment


• Detailed working knowledge of the Workplace Health and Safety Act and Workplace Health and Safety (Mining) Regulations


• Demonstrated experience in competency based training and assessment methods


• Previous exposure to incident investigation, auditing processes and workplace inspections


• Ability to communicate effectively and build relationships within all levels of the business


• Intermediate competency in excel and presentation applications

Qualifications:

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (essential)


• Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety (essential)


• Minimum \"C\" class Manual unencumbered drivers licence
