Northern Star Mining Services Limited in Kalgoorlie is seeking a Safety Training & Compliance Specialist to develop, implement and maintain safe work procedures for underground operations. You will coordinate competency assessments, inspections, and training, ensuring adherence to WHS regulations and company standards.

Working permanently full time with residential Kalgoorlie or FIFO from Perth, the role includes 8/6 12hr roster, relocation support, and advanced opportunities for career

Qualificações

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment essential.
• Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety essential.
• Minimum C class manual unencumbered drivers licence.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, implement, and maintain safe work procedures and promote high safety awareness.
• Develop, coordinate, and monitor procedural systems, processes, and training in accordance with company and legislative requirements.
• Conduct competency verifications to ensure skill requirements are met.
• Undertake regular inspections and task observations to ensure compliance and a safe work environment.
• Inspect and manage emergency equipment and systems in the underground environment.

• Employment Type: Permanent Full Time - Kalgoorlie residential or FIFO ex Perth
• Roster: 8/6 12hr shifts

Experience:

• Underground production experience in a mechanised hard rock underground environment
• Detailed working knowledge of the Workplace Health and Safety Act and Workplace Health and Safety (Mining) Regulations
• Demonstrated experience in competency based training and assessment methods
• Previous exposure to incident investigation, auditing processes and workplace inspections
• Ability to communicate effectively and build relationships within all levels of the business
• Intermediate competency in excel and presentation applications

Qualifications :

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (essential)
• Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety (essential)
• Minimum "C" class Manual unencumbered drivers licence
