Job summary

DEVELOP is seeking an Underground Safety Trainer for the Woodlawn Copper Zinc Mine in Tarago, NSW. You will deliver induction, refresher, and task-specific training to underground personnel, conduct competency assessments, and support the Safety Management System to uphold high safety standards.

Reporting to the Safety and Training Superintendent, this role offers FIFO on an 8:6 roster, DIDO or Residential 7:7 roster, with relocation assistance and a competitive remuneration package.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40116) is required.
• Minimum 2 years’ safety/training experience in mining.
• Current underground operation competencies.
• C Class Driver’s Licence.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver induction, refresher and task-specific training for underground workforce.
• Conduct competency assessments for employees and contractors in underground roles and equipment.
• Ensure personnel are trained and assessed to meet company requirements.
• Complete safety and competency documentation per company requirements.
• Identify training gaps and develop corrective training plans with site management.
• Train personnel on hazard identification and risk assessment processes.
