Qualifications

• Experience operating Rhino raise drills or similar raiseboring equipment.
• Understanding of underground mine development and raise drilling practices.
• Commitment to safety and operational excellence.
• Ability to work effectively within a high-performing team.
• Relevant mining competencies, licences and tickets.
• Current Australian work rights.
• Ability to pass site medical and employment requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate Rhino raise drill equipment safely and efficiently.
• Complete slot raises, ventilation raises and service raises to plan specifications.
• Conduct pre-start inspections and routine equipment checks.
• Monitor drilling performance and maintain drilling accuracy.
• Identify and rectify minor equipment issues where appropriate.
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with site safety standards and procedures.
• Work closely with supervisors, engineers and underground mining crews.
• Identify and report hazards, incidents and equipment defects.
• Maintain high housekeeping and operational standards underground.
