Barminco, part of the Perenti Group, is a global underground mining contractor delivering safe, productive outcomes. We are seeking an experienced Underground Raise Bore Driller to join our Western Australia operations.

You will operate raise bore drilling equipment, set up rigs, inspect and maintain gear, monitor ground conditions, and work with supervisors to meet production targets. A strong safety mindset and relevant tickets are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Raise Bore Driller in underground mining.
• Strong understanding of underground mining processes and safety standards.
• Experience operating raise bore rigs and related underground drilling equipment.
• Knowledge of raise boring techniques, ground control, and drilling operations.
• Ability to identify and resolve operational/equipment issues promptly.

Responsibilities

• Operate raise bore drilling equipment to complete planned raises safely and efficiently.
• Set up, align and commission raise bore rigs and associated equipment.
• Install drill strings, cutters and reaming assemblies.
• Conduct pre-start inspections and routine maintenance on equipment.
• Monitor drilling performance and ground conditions; adjust parameters as needed.
• Work with supervisors and crews to meet production targets; maintain safety standards.
