Job summary

Redpath Mining is seeking an experienced Underground Paste Crew Operator for Lake Cowal, NSW. Join a long-term project to operate and maintain paste fill systems in an underground gold mine, contributing to safe and efficient backfilling operations.

Ideal candidates have paste fill experience, a solid safety mindset, and the ability to work well in a high-performing team. The role is on-site with rostered shifts in New South Wales, Australia.

Qualifications

• Previous underground mining experience in Paste Crew or similar underground support role.
• Experience with paste fill systems and underground infrastructure is highly regarded.
• Strong understanding of underground mining operations and safety requirements.
• Ability to pass site medical and employment requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain underground paste fill systems and associated infrastructure.
• Install, extend and recover paste reticulation lines underground.
• Conduct routine inspections of paste lines, valves and infrastructure.
• Monitor paste delivery and report operational issues.
• Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
• Assist with barricade inspections and preparation of stopes for paste filling.
• Conduct pre-start inspections and equipment checks.
• Identify and report hazards, incidents and equipment defects.
• Ensure compliance with site procedures and safety standards.
• Maintain high housekeeping and operational standards underground.

Redpath Australia is seeking experienced Underground Paste Crew Operators to join our operations at Evolution Mining's Lake Cowal Underground Gold Mine in New South Wales. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a long-term project with a respected mining contractor while contributing to the safe and efficient operation of underground paste reticulation and backfilling systems.

About the Role

As a Paste Crew Operator, you will be responsible for the installation, operation and maintenance of underground paste fill infrastructure. You will play a critical role in supporting safe and productive mining activities by ensuring paste systems are operating efficiently and reliably.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain underground paste fill systems and associated infrastructure
• Install, extend and recover paste reticulation lines underground

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous underground mining experience in Paste Crew, Service Crew or a similar underground support role
• Experience with paste fill systems, mine services or underground infrastructure highly regarded
• Strong understanding of underground mining operations and safety requirements
• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Commitment to safety and operational excellence
• Ability to work effectively within a high-performing team environment
• Relevant mining competencies, licences and tickets
