Job summary

Barminco, part of the Perenti Group, is seeking a Paste Crew Operator to support underground mining operations across Australia, with opportunities at Western Australia sites. You will mix, pump and place paste backfill to provide ground support and enable safe, efficient mining.

Successful applicants will have prior paste crew experience, underground mining know‑how, and all relevant licences. Barminco offers competitive pay, FIFO/DIDO options, training and career progression within a global

Qualifications

Previous experience working as a Paste Crew Operator
Extensive experience working in underground mining
All valid and relevant qualifications, certificates and licences (RPL's)
Ability to meet all site access requirements (including, but not limited to, Medical, DAS, NPC & valid Manual Driver's Licence)

Responsibilities

Monitor paste fill devices/paste walls / paste valves
Liaise and work in with the paste plant operator
Complete paste fill checklists and paperwork
Ensure paste backfill is completed as per plan
Install, monitor, and maintain paste barricades and bulkheads
Inspect, maintain, and clear paste lines and equipment to prevent blockages
Work closely with mining and production teams to meet schedules
Follow all safety, quality, and environmental procedures during paste operations
