Job summary

Jobtailor in Australia is seeking an experienced Underground Operations Supervisor to lead underground supervisors and crews to safely execute the mining plan and achieve production targets. You will drive safety culture, coordinate personnel and resources, collaborate with maintenance, geology and support teams, review schedules and communicate priorities to maximise productivity and minimise downtime.

This role requires a proven track record in leadership with more than 10 years in mining,

Qualifications

• Must hold Underground Supervisor's Certificate and understand statutory compliance and underground mining requirements.
• Over 10 years of extensive underground mining experience in operations.
• Proven leadership with at least 5 years in supervisory roles delivering safety and production outcomes.
• Strong understanding of underground mining operations, planning, scheduling, and applicable legislation.
• Ability to coach and develop people and drive accountability and performance.
• Current C Class Manual Driver's Licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead underground supervisors and crews to safely execute the mining plan and meet production targets.
• Foster a strong safety culture through compliance with safety systems, procedures, and statutory obligations.
• Coordinate personnel, equipment and resources to maximise productivity and minimise downtime.
• Collaborate with technical, maintenance, geology and support teams to achieve objectives and continuous improvement.
• Review schedules, monitor performance, manage workforce requirements and communicate priorities clearly.
