Job summary

Macmahon Underground is seeking motivated entry-level candidates to start a rewarding career in underground mining. As an Underground Nipper & Truck Operator, you will support experienced Jumbo Operators while developing hands-on skills in a collaborative crew.

This Townsville Residential role requires residing in Townsville and being able to do DIDO/BIBO to site. You will operate underground trucks, perform pre-start inspections, and follow safety procedures within a people-first culture.

Qualifications

• Entry-level candidates welcome to start a career in underground mining.
• Must be able to work in a physically demanding environment.
• Experience operating large machinery is advantageous.
• Valid manual (C class) Australian driver's licence is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Assist Jumbo Operators and underground crews in daily mining operations
• Operate underground trucks to haul materials
• Conduct pre-start inspections and report faults
• Follow strict safety procedures and site protocols
