Job summary

You will lead the analysis, design and assessment of structural infrastructure for underground and surface mining operations and materials handling systems. Working within a multidisciplinary environment, you will contribute across studies, feasibility, detailed design and construction support, collaborating with senior engineers to deliver safe, innovative

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognised institution.
Professional Engineer registration, or actively working towards registration.
Experience delivering structural engineering projects within the mining sector, including underground infrastructure.
Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete and structural steel design.
Experience preparing engineering calculations, technical reports and specifications.

Responsibilities

Deliver structural engineering solutions for underground mining projects across all stages of the project lifecycle.
Undertake the analysis and design of underground mining infrastructure, including shaft infrastructure, headframes, crushers and conveyors.
Develop structural models using SpaceGass, Strand7, STAAD.Pro or similar, and prepare calculations, reports and specs.
Conduct site inspections, assessments and investigations, ensuring designs meet Australian Standards and client requirements.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, participating in design reviews, risk assessments and safety-in-design workshops.
Review drawings and models, support planning and estimating, and mentor junior engineers.
