Job summary

Westgold Group is seeking a Planning Engineer in Australia, Western Australia to join their dedicated team. This role is critical for delivering safe and practical mine designs while maintaining compliance with safety standards. You will work closely with Senior Planning Engineers on an 8/6 roster.

This position requires expertise in underground mining and proficiency in mining software such as Deswik. Being part of a high-performing culture, you will have exposure to complex mining projects and numerous benefits including a performance-based bonus and health insurance discounts.

Qualifications

• Experience in underground hard rock mining, ideally narrow vein.
• Proficiency in mine design, planning, and scheduling.
• Current unrestricted WA 'C' Class Driver’s Licence.
• National Police Clearance (within 12 months).
• First Class Mine Manager’s Certificate is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver safe underground mine designs.
• Prepare 13-week schedules aligned with safety requirements.
• Review drill and blast plans for effective execution.
• Maintain planning systems and databases with data integrity.
• Promote safety culture through hazard identification and management.
